Stories From the Panchatantra (5 in 1) is a collection of five of the most famous stories from the Panchatantra, a book of fables from Indian folklore. The book comprises of five titles – The Jackal and the War Drum, Crows and Owls, How the Jackal ate the Elephant, The Brahmin and the Goat, and The Dullard and Other Stories. The characters portrayed in the stories are anthropomorphic in nature, i.e. they are animal with human characteristics. The stories in the book bring easy-to-learn morals to young readers by showing them the deeds and misdeeds of animals. This book will be ideal for kids aged between 8 and 10.
About Anant Pai
Anant Pai was the former editor of Amar Chitra Katha. He is best known for pioneering Indian comics and creating Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle magazine. Uncle Pai, as his fans call him, received much acclaim for his work, including the Yudhvir Memorial Award in Hyderabad, Maharashtra Rajya Hindi Sahitya Academy Award, Lifetime Achievement Award – at the First Indian Comic Convention, New Delhi and Karpoorchand Puraskar of Uttar Pradesh Bal Kalyan Sansthan.
