Tag team matches in the game have been tweaked as you lose a game even if one of your players gets beaten in the match.

The new features in the game include the Pandora mode and the Gem system. While playing a game if you are on a losing streak, Pandora mode gives you the ability to win back a match by giving you 10 extra seconds before your opponent defeats you. This is a very effective combat feature as your current player gets replaced with the one on your team, allowing you to use different tactics to win against your opponent.

Gems act as boosts to your fighters and are primarily divided into 2 types, Boost Gems and Assist Gems. Boost Gems accelerate your attack power, defence, and speed while playing a match. Boost Gems usually get activated once to fulfill certain objectives such as blocking your opponent 5 times and so on. Assist Gems on the other hand will give you power to auto-cancel or auto-block. This is helpful if you are taking a bad beating from your rival.

Online Features

If you like teaming up with your friends or playing against gamers from across the world you can do it in Street Fighter X Tekken as it supports online play. There are a variety of modes to choose from and the gameplay stays solid throughout the game. The different modes featured here are Scramble Mode, Endless Battle mode and several others.
