Suicides Among Farmers

This compendium of papers, presented at a national seminar, organized by the NABARD chair unit, Andhra University, provides fresh insights into the causes of cotton farmers’ Suicides in India, with particular reference to Andhra Pradesh. It examines the alternative perspectives on the suicides of cotton growers against the backdrop of the prospects of cotton in the economy of Andhra Pradesh and the state of cotton growers in the state.
