Sustainable Development: Opportunities And Challanges

When the term 'sustainability' is used in relations to human societies it is often taken to imply a paradigm shift, requiring societies to consider everything in relations to nature. This 'transformative' use of sustainability in social and economic terms compares with an emphasis on 'stability','balance' and 'conservation' in the natural sciences. The need to incorporate a concern with sutainability into real-world decision-making partly accounts for the interest in sustainable development.

Dr. R. Dayanandan obtained his M.Phil as well as Ph.D. from Grandhigram University. He was a Senior Research Fellow of UGC during his Ph.D. research work and University Rank Holder during his graduation. he is a perceptive researchers and has contributed a number of papers to different jouranls. Dr. R. Dayanandan is a life member of several professional and academic bodies and has participated in various conferences/seminars . He has also organized natioanl level seminars and debate. Currently he is the Head of the department of Natural Resources Economics and Management, Makelle University, Ethiopia.
