"Do you ever get the feeling you've been cheated?" These words describe how the creators of new quarterly magazine, Swindle, feel about the magazine world in general, and why the decided to publish this ground-breaking new title. It's not that they hate magazines, but they did come to the conclusion that paying 5 or 6 American dollars for a magazine that is read once and thrown away a week later, is hardly good value. They also felt that there was no collection of broad, timeless content that offers stories and art that make you want to go back and look at them again and again. Swindle is about to fill that void. It's not too serious, smart, funny, progressive, introduces new ideas and images and addresses the current trend of cross-culturalization.
