This set looks very good. It comes in a sturdy cardboard case, and the discs are housed in a good-looking foldout case covered with photographs and illustrations. There is even a small but decent booklet.
Saw Char Adhyay and the print was generally quite good. If the other transfers are also of a similar (or better) standard this set is a steal at the price.
Yeah! As Gold never gets Old by it's value and increases it's supremacy, Tagore's contribution is really beyond imagination not only in Literature but in Movies, his stories were adopted in Indian Cinema.... which made these films included in the Box Set Superb.. Storyline is simply awesome and the acts played by the actors are legendary; I mean to say situations are performed by the actors in sober way, standard manner..
Subtitle must have been helpful to realize it from every aspect.
Watch every Movies in different day.. You may recall the adaption and it seems a TREASURE from TAGORE.
Must have collectible..
I owned it almost a year ago but still watch frequently...
A really good work done by NFDC on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Tagore. I wish that no one shall stay away from grabing this rare piece of tribute. It gives more than its price, no doubt about it. Besides, we join in this celebration in a meaningful and objective way. Congrats NFDC, Congrats Flipkart team!
Flipkart did well to get this item back in stock soon after purchasers cleared it. I figured out at his price it would cost as much to buy another copy as to create a backup set. So I bought a second copy for my cousins from whom I can get a backup if ever in my lifetime any of the discs fail. GOI did a good job to bring out this special edition. If you would like to read some of the underlying stories of which these cinematic adaptations were made visit Smashwords or the Amazon Kindle store. I was also able to get the title of Kshudhita Pashan corrected at IMDB after seeing the film for the first time.
This is a great collectors item. Don't miss it. It even as a silent movie in which Tagore himself acted. Thanks a lot Flipkart for the speedy and professional delivery mechanism.
