Long ago, when the time known as A.D. was beginning, a small group of people near Jerusalem were gifted with the abilities of Angelic magic from God. These people came to be known as the mahgil. The mahgil were charged with preventing the Apocalypse from coming too early, and when it came, they were to assist those who sided with God in the war. The Apocalypse is set for a certain time to happen. But The Dark Lord Satan wants to begin his war immediately. For thousands of years, the mahgil performed their duties in secret, erasing themselves from history.
