Tamrac Adventure 9 (Model# 5549) Camera Bag

I had been looking for a light, sturdy bag which would carry my camera, video camera, laptop and the millions of wires that go with gadgets. The Tamrac Adventure 9 is my best bag buy till date.

I have a Nikon D90 and an additional lens, a video camera and all the wires and chargers in the lower camera compartment and there is still place to squeeze in a few small things. There is enough place to keep video discs and memory cards and batteries. The beauty of this part of the bag is that you are make compartments as you would like them to be. Every thing is detachable and adjustable. Something I did not understand while viewing the bag on the site.

In the upper compartment I have 2 hard disks with jackets, laptop wire, two thick books, my array of pens in a box, my camera cleaning kit, 2 cell phones, the chargers and a few more small things that keep finding their own space.

My Mac, in spite of all this in the front compartments, easily slides in and out of the rear. And, I am able to easily slip in two CD cases and a couple of books in there.

Some great stuff in the bag

1. The zips are the smoothest that I have come across
2. Each section is fortified with padding and strong at that. None of the compartments sag because of weight of products.
3. The base is strong and padded and can stand on it's own with or without stuff inside. Very convenient feature as I don't bother about straightening it or the bag tilting or keeling over. The handle at the top is strong and well designed to allow me to carry it easily when not lugging it on my "ruck".
4. This bag, even after all the stuff that I put in is light to carry and comfortable on the shoulders. Well padded and come with
5. There are lash tabs at the bottom which will accomodate a camera stand or some other gear when I come around to it.
6. The mesh pockets at the sides are airy, have strong elastic and are deep

I am happy with this purchase as now I carry a single bag and not 4 of them. Easier at the airport too.

I have bought this bag a week ago and it very easily fits in my Nikon D3100, couple of lenses, filters, charger, lens cleaner kit, memory card and my hard disk in front camera compartment. Other than this back laptop compartment comfortably rooms 14" laptop with charger and mouse! It still has some room to put a diary or something. On top compartment I have kept 3 Novels, a jacket and still have some room for small accessories. It has two side pockets to carry bottle, food etc but I have figured that they can also be used to carry a compact tripod.

Considering the next up on this model i.e. Adventure 10 is more than twice the price, this is a much cheaper and almost in the league alternative to that. For a short photography trip, this backpack is the best choice in the price range.

As far flipkart delivery is concern they never make me happy! though they are reliable and have good products.
