Tamrac Velocity 9x Compact Sling Pack (Model# 5769) Camera Bag

I have been using this bag for two weeks and have carried the bag for two trips lasting a day each.
Equipment packed : Canon EOS 500D, 70-200 f/4 , 18-55 IS, 55-250 IS, 50mm f/1.8, Ex 430 II flash, Sony handycam, cables, CPL filter, two lens cap and spare memory cards. The bag after this had space for maybe one more small lens and many more small accessories.
The bag enables carriage of camera body with 70-200 mm f/4 attached with hood on for easy access.
I guess a larger body with 70-200 f/2.8 will require hood to be reversed.
Access to various compartments when on the move is very easy with the ease of sling pack to be converted to shoulder bag.
Verical storage provides very easy access to equipment.
Proper planning will ensure availability of required gear easily with other lenses in the background which can be accessed if required.
Welcro mounted dividers ensure easy customisation of available space.
Good construction, will definitely protect the expensive equipment.
Even with so much space the bag looks so small and is quite unobtrusive.
The only dificulty faced by me was, somehow I was quite uncomfortable carrying the bag for long periods. When slung on the back with the sling tight the bag rides very high around the shoulder throwing a lot of weight on the chest and ribs. If sling is carried slack the padded support slips back making it uncomfortable. With the equipment adding a lot of weight the bag seems unwieldy. With the waist belt supporting the load seems ok, but somehow the discomfort persists. I dont know whether continuing using it will make it any better. Will have to wait and see, I guess.
The bag swings quite easily to be a shoulder bag and accessing gear is very very easy. Changing lenses etc would be quite a breeze.
My only gripe other than carrying difficulty is the absence of a tripod carrying provision.
Overall a good bag with a good practical design. Carrying on the shoulder seems a little difficult, but practice may make it perfect.

This bag is a treat, sleek to carry around, and can be customized to hold more stuff than mentioned in specifications. Build quality is top notch, i m currently using it to carry my nikon d5100 with 50mm f/1.8g attached, a sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro, a tamron 18-270mm PZD and some camera accessories like charger, batteries, remote, filters etc. And there is still space to keep two or more lenses, flash etc.

Carrying around this bag however needs a little bit getting used to, but taking the camera out from the bagpack takes 5-6 secs which is the main advantage of a sling bag.

Definately worth the price. "
