A good One-For-All Lens
This is definitely a good lens for those who do not wish to carry different lenses for different purpose. I bought this lens so that i did not have to carry my 18-55mm and 55-300mm always. Picture quality of this Tamron lens is really good, and the VC does work well. The best part is that i can take photos indoors and immediately out of the window without having to change lens. It is true that the zooming/rotating the ring is little rough and tight. Well that ought to be there as it provides a magnification right from 18-270mm within that small lens. It is little heavy as compared to many but again, nothing too bad that you can’t live with (Nikon mount lenses are heavier due to presence of focusing motor). This Lens is really good in the mid zoom segment, even better than its competitors. And yes, the auto focus is really quick.
Recommendation: Yes, I do.
