I saw this same lense in Hong Kong last month but that was little expensive by Rs 2000/- compared to price on flipkart & also saw similar lense of Sigma too at Hong Kong Store.
I liked Tamron compared to Sigma over there as Tamron was good quality Made in Japan without any noises & good quality body too.
So I ordered at flipkart assuming that it will be same in India too but may be because of taxes there must be price difference in India & Hong Kong.
But when I got the delivery I was very disappointed as this is very cheap quality Made in China & Not Japan.
It makes so much noise in AF mode & also picture is coming too noisy, also the plastic used is so cheap quality.
Infact it is worst then Sigma India. As I had checked Sigma at one store in India but pity I did not got chance to check Tamron as store did not had in stock.
I hope Flipkart share this review with their supplier that to OFFER PRODUCTS AT BETTER PRICE DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD NEGOTIATE FOR QUALITY BUT FOR PRICE ONLY.
GUYS GO ONLY FOR SIGMA IF YOU ARE BUYING FROM INDIA.
Pretty good stuff..only downside is the noisy AF and timelag in focusing in AF mode...Works well in Manual Mode..Quite happy with the product..
Hi Folks, this is Shashi from Hyderabad! I own a Sony SLT and thought of updating it with long zooming lens kit. Had a view at Flipkart site for this beautiful lens kit and ordered on 11th March 2013 and I have received in next day :)) A rocket fast delivery from Flipkart. Appreciating!! Keep it up!
This lens kit is really beautiful and very easy to handle for beginners. We can click pictures with a super detailed and close-up shots are just amazing. Got to explore it more!
Wonderful product!! Go for it :)
I got this from a tamron dealer in Bangalore. This is a decent product considering its price. The maximum sharpness is obtained at f/11. Macro is another cool feature in this which allows good close up shots. It haunts for focus at 300mm when there is very poor light. Except this, the product is pretty good. I am using it with A57 and very satisfied with its performance. AF with A57 is fast as well. 4 starts as it is an all plastic body.
Great lens just love it, bit heavy and we need to have a stiff position at telephoto zoom as its a little bit shaky.... Better advised to have a tripod used in case you are not able to be stiff. The macro is an additional feature, which is also good and attractive addition to the lens over the Sony version of 75-300 and the price difference is also worth it. Being a beginner i give thumbs up for this
