A Page Turning National Bestselling Tantric Thriller!

Anu is a leather wearing, no-nonsense professional guardian with a reputation for killing the most dangerous villains in New York City. But when her enemies murder the one person she truly cared about, all she wants is vengeance. The only clue points to New Delhi, so Anu puts in for a job transfer.

In India, she finds more than she expected. For one thing, her fellow operatives have made a truce with the vampires. For another, its way too hot to wear leather.

At first, it seems Anu's biggest challenge will be evading the nice boys her aunt wants her to marry. But when children start disappearing, she discovers forces older and darker than anything shes faced before. All of Delhi is in danger, especially the sexy stranger who sets Anu's pulse racing.

To prepare for the coming battle, Anu must overcome her personal demons and put aside years of training. This time, her most powerful weapon will come from her mind, not her weapons belt.

    Reviews

"West dissolves into East and the book flowers into a very interesting, original and thought provoking adventure... will definitely find its place on my bookshelf." - Maneka Gandhi

“It’s a page turner, it is action packed, so it is an action novel as well! There are real serious action sequences. Being an actor, I imagined it as a movie. ” - Soha Ali Khan

"From the streets of Delhi, to its clubs, to ashrams and coffee shops, the characters in the book are three-dimensional, each with their own agendas and flaws." - Times of India

"India finally gets a thriller that while being worthy of its traditions and philosophy is able to connect to the modern reader. Spirituality, religion, vampires, and life are wonderfully handled. A must read." - Greg Boyce

    About the Author
Adi grew up reading fiction books by flashlight, hiding under the covers, pretending to be asleep. While it must have affected his academic life the next day, he still went on to get degrees from Stanford University and Harvard University, which he uses in his life now as an entrepreneur and researcher.

Adi has also published a poetry book and a minor textbook. He wishes he could withdraw all copies of said poetry book from the market. At the time, it seemed poignant, but now it's just embarrassing. The textbook still seems all right.

He splits his time between India, Dubai and Zurich. Deeply impressed by the vast religious history of India, he could not help but pick this topic for his first novel.

    Tantra

A vampire book with Indian backdrop ! That just qualifies in itself for 2 stars. The story is set at an acceptable pace with Indian masala of aunties and shaadis. Yet the heroine in spite of American background sticks to her Indian origin and in the atmosphere of fast paced physics (dynamics) and boiling chemistry hardly any active biology happens. Is she too dedicated to her slain phirangi boyfriend so much so that the feelings for Indian studs fizzle out even before the fizz sets in ? Anoth...

    Strange, Dark Fiction

The darkest piece of Indian fiction I've picked up in a long time. Well worth reading, it will keep you spellbound to the end and hungry for part two. Anu Aggarwal is the strongest female character in Indian fiction I have ever read and for that alone it's worth the read. But it excels as a paranormal thriller giving that peculiar and extraordinary Indian penchant for juxtaposing good and evil and even seeing parallels between the two. It deserves to be read both as a piece of Indian fic...

Queuing it up - ardent admirer of Indian backdrop

I prefer stories having Indian backdrop and which I can relate to. From Amish Tripathi to Ashwin Sanghi and a few others have been quite a compelling writers with stories emerging from India. Namesake by jhumpa was good as well for its subtle descriptions of human emotions where the characters were Indians and I can relate to it. The new era of fiction in India is taking a twist to mix mythology with modern concepts of scifi or popular beliefs. Looking at the review of this book, this is goin...

A definite must read for all fantasy and vampire lovers

This book is a unique twist to the normal vampire/vampire hunters novels you have read before. Set in India, it integrates an Indian version of dark/light magic called tantra. Anu is a hunter, who just lost a lover in New York and moves to India to find the vampire who killed him. Instead she finds that things are not as black and white as they were back in New York. As any fantasy novel does, the book has two hot guys vying for Anu. However the book also opens your eyes to Indian traditions ...

    Quite loved this book

I refused to read this book at first. My friend recommended it to me, and I was surprised for moment that she wanted me to read about tantric sex. We do NOT share that type of relationship. I was surprised to find that the book is a fantastic and engaging thriller. It has romance, action, and a good bit of humor all along. I did wonder if it was a bit of a bait and switch, you know, catchy title which has nothing to do with the content, but it
    delivered.

The book is about tantra first, and ...

    Tantra by Adi

Anu Aggawal is a smart, modern woman who struggles to balance her work, and life. I really connected with the main character. Most recent lead females have either been shown as weak and incompetent, or so head strong they lose their femininity.

This book has many hidden gems and jokes that are worth taking the time to discover. The author seems to have a great sense of humor that pervades the text, and leads to many immensely quotable lines. I think my favorite character has to be Chandra, ...

Vikram Vetal minus Vikram plus Anu

A ‘vampire’ book in India is something that I haven’t really seen but Adi pulls it off with finesse. So we have our very own Indian version of ‘Buffy – the vampire hunter’ who not only has to fight evil vampires but also dodge arrange marriage and resist temptation of hot a vampire. Adi has managed to tell a good story with all these and tantra-mantra thrown in along with an occasional choomantar.

Adi will also remind you of the Ramayan and Mahabharat serials of yesteryears with the refere...
