I had purchased this last year in August, and yes I did wait for more than six months to review it. To start off I would say that this is a decent and satisfying product.
I changed the blub just last month and the water at my place is extremely dirty.
Pros:
1. Extremely Durable
2. Great Filtering Capacity
3. This doesn't give the water a fake taste like many other water purifiers do.
4. Easy to install and use.
5. Easy to clean.
6. Good build quality.
Cons
1. No auto-stop.
2. The Tata Swach Bulb is on the opaque side, so the top has to be removed again and again to check if the filter needs to be changed, it would have been better if the whole thing was transparent.
3. The water-holding capacity is disappointing and not up to the expectations.
4. No indicators for maximum limit to fill up the water.
Overall this product is very satisfying.
it is very well 4 small family of 3-4 people..purifing system is amazingly fine.no need of electricity..u have to change the fuse after 6 months...after all it is fair to use..price is low than other online shop...
Tata Swach Smart Water Purifier.
This is good product, its filter technology is good enough, and very much affordable at this cost. only one thing to take note that is non-transperant bottom part, unable to see usable / filtered water level.
Even though I didn't buy this product from Flipkart, I felt the need to write a review in order to make people aware of what it actually is.
I bought this product thinking that it's a 15L water holder. For me, with a family of 5, I needed something that can hold that lot of water. But the major turn-down with this product is that it can effectively hold only 7.5L! After installing the product, you need to fill the upper container with 7.5L of water. This 7.5L purifies and seeps in to the bottom container. After that the top container has to remain empty, useless. I tried to fill the top container with more water after the bottom container was filled up, but all the water leaked away from the brim of the bottom container. One more thing I must mention. There's no provision of fastening or fitting the top and the bottom containers. The top container is just placed firmly on the bottom one. If the bottom container is filled beyond capacity, even with a single glass of water, the top container starts floating! That's not it. There are other disadvantages of using it. Since the bottom can hold only 7.5L of water, and it's not a see-through container, you'll always have to be very careful while refilling. Suppose if the bottom has 2L of water(you can never be sure of the exact figure, as there's neither any visibility, nor any water- level marking), and you fill the top one with 6L of water(even here, you can never be sure of the exact figure, there's visibility, but no markings), the next thing you're going to face is a flooded kitchen.
I bought this product from a shop for Rs808, after some discounts. Used it for 1 day. Flooded my house thrice. Called up service center. A guy showed up next day. He told me that this product can hold only 7.5L, if you try to fill more, it'll leak away. That's how the product is, can't help it. Next day, I went to the shop to ask for a replacement for a better/bigger filter. The shop denied saying that these things can't be replaced once sold. I left the filter at the shop, gave him my number. I told him strictly that I'm not taking this waste product back home. If you can replace it, give me a call. Or else keep it with yourself. It's as useless to you as to me, as you can't sell it, I can't use it. Later I got a call from the shop's manager requesting me to take the Tata Swatch. I refused to take it back. I didn't even care to take back my money.
To summarize:
1. Holds only 7.5L effectively.
2. Bottom container water capacity isn't visible, difficult to know when to refill.
3. Refilling needs a lot of calculations, or else there's always a chance of overflow.
4. Plastics don't seem that strong.
5. Top and bottom containers are not joined, they're just placed one upon the other.
My recommendation:
Please don't buy this product. Better go for HUL Pureit Compact or Ereka Forbes Aquasure. Those products can hold water in both top and bottom containers, delivering the capacity they promise. Tata Swatch is a way to cheat customers. Other Tata water filters have also the same configuration. They effectively hold only half of what they say as total capacity(as confirmed by the Tata service person who visited my home).
Hope my review helps.
Bought it from flipkart few weeks back. Technically sound product, though the water leaks through the gaps of the two compartments when we fill water in the upper compartment. The purity of water is great. Got rid of the specific smell in the tap water, great taste too. Good for bachelors who care about purity of water at an economic cost. My rating is 3/5. Purification using silver nanotechnology system is great.
I've had this product for about 2 months now. It's been used sparingly. I'd estimate I've got about 400 liters of water from it so far. Yet, the "bulb" is already nearly finished (75% used - going by the indicator, which automatically shuts off the filter permanently when it thinks the capacity is over). And no, the water in my area is not muddy - nor is the filter installed improperly. There's no anomaly that would cause the "bulb" filter to be used up any sooner than usual - so I can't help but conclude that Tata's estimate of 3000 liters is complete bullshit!
I bought it 6 month back, it is a great product, best part is that so easy to use and no harmful chemical used in it. which give me a great assurance that it is the safest product for my child. thanks to tata for giving such a wonderful product.
really good product at this price, and quality are also good , more over 3000 Ltr purifying capacity its make amazing. Plastic Quality of Purifier also good really non breakable, and very special "No chance of overflow"
I am a software engineer, using Tata Swatch Smart Purifier for an year now...
The Cons for the product are:-
1. Plastic Quality (starts leaking once the lower bucket is full).
2. No transparency for viewing the level of water in lower bucket.
3. The caps are just kept over another, they do not fit well.
The Pros for the product are:-
1. Low cost.
2. Good purification (2 days we had totally muddy water supplied to our home - was purified perfectly).
3. My bulb shows the mud it has cleaned, and the life left in it. So we can plan for another bulb.
4. The installation is mentioned thoroughly in the manual, though it requires technical mind to understand.
As mentioned in previous review.. installation is bit tricky... but beyond that point it has been very good.. i usually filter about 11-12 litres of water at a time.
If you are on a budget then this is a safe product... also doesn't take a lot of space.. i recommend it
