Teaching English As A Second Language

India gained Independence from British in 1947 but the independent India chose to follow the British education system. Officially English has a status of assitant language, but in fact it is the most important language of Inida. After Hindi it is the most commonly spoken langauge in India and probably the most read and written langauge in India. English symbolized in Indian minds, better education, better culture, and higher intellect. Indians who know English often mingle it with Indian langauges in their conversations and that's why Hinglish has developed.
