The Test Of Time

This book was referred to me by a friend. I was a little skeptical of purchasing a novel from a first time author, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the first page until the very end, I found relatable characters and situations.There were twists and turns from chapter to chapter. I found myself rooting for every character in the book. It took me back to thoughts and feelings that I had as a young woman from a disfunctional family and the choices and decisions I too had to make inorder to be happy. Although this might be considered a serious story, there were plenty of laughs. I laughed thinking how many of own experiences at a Historical Black University were mirrored in this novel. The ending is a definite cliff-hanger. Remember the hype surrounding the television show "Dallas" in the 1980's. I can't wait until "next season".
