Textbook Of Dermatology

Dermatology has emerged as an important field in the recent years. Skin diseases account for a large proportion of the cases coming to physicians. The vast array of symptoms and clinical presentations of skin conditions highlight the need for proper diagnosis and appropriate investigations. This book provides the details of common skin diseases written in a simple language, well supported by clinical photographs taken by the author himself. The expected natural course of the disease and etio-pathogenic mechanisms, has been described in each chapter. The possible line of management of the diseases has also been devoted to structure and functions of the skin, and its history and examination respectively.
About Author :
Dr. Ramji Gupta is a Consultant Dermatologists at Escorts Heart Institute and VIMHANS. He had earlier been at AIIMS and Holy Family Hospital. He is Visiting Professor of Dermatology at N.H. Medical College, Delhi. Due to his passion for writing and research he is widely known in the academic circle. Among his five books on dermatology, two books co-authored by him, i.e. Multiple Choice Questions in Dermatology and Veneraology (3rd edition) and illustrated Textbook of Dermatology (3rd edition), are very popular among the undergraduate medical students and practitioners.
