Textbook Of Fungi -

This book blends information on classical fundamental aspects with recent development in fungal systematics. The textbook of fungi presents information on the morphology, life cycle and their economic uses in human life. Special attempt has been made on the biological activities of the microbial products. They produce several types of drughs including anitbiotics, drugs that reduce high blood pressure. They also produce many of the enzymes used in the food, chemicals and pharmaceutical industries. Lichens deal with the structure, reproduction and economic importance of lichens.

Dr. Rajni Gupta is teaching in the Department of Botany, Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, Delhi. She got her M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degree in Botany from Agra University. she did Post Doctoral work in the Department of Botany, University of Delhi with Prof. K.G. Mukerji a distinguised Mycologist and Microbial ecologist. She has worked in the field of VAM fungi in biocontorl of weeds. She has published more than 40 Research papers in different National and International Journals. She has edited " Advances in Microbial Biotechnology" and authored 'Microbial Technology".
