Dan Ariely is the James B. Duke Professor of Behavioral Economics at Duke University and the New York Times bestselling author of Predictably Irrational. Over the years, he has won numerous scientific awards and his work has been featured in leading scholarly journals in psychology, economics, neuroscience, medicine and business and in a variety of popular media outlets, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the New Yorker, the Boston Globe, Scientific American and Science. Aha! Here Dan Ariely brings a great read!

We all are dishonest, in some sense!
We hardly tend to accept this, at least publicly. Dan Ariely (who earlier gave us two delightful reads: 'Predictably Irrational' and 'The Upside of Irrationality')once again comes up with a wonderful account of "Why", and more interestingly "How", we turn to be dishonest. All of us are caught in the web of honesty and dishonesty, morality, sin and so on.Even golf players are not free from being dishonest. Some acts though dishonest are considered honest or are ignored as trivial. Drawing a moral line changes from person to person and from society to society. Its agood book, in that, the reader can place himself on the honesty meter. The book can be recommended for students at degree level as a text book.

Dan ariely's best work

Heavy emphasis on dishonesty at a personal level and how it can slowly but surely creep into institutional structures.

Also gives a good account of our incredible power to rationalize dishonest behavior within limits.

Very well written and fun to read and presents the dark side of our actions in a very light and enjoyable manner.
