The Affair (English, Paperback, Child Lee)
The Affair is a prequel novel to the Jack Reacher series of thriller novels by Lee Child.
Summary of the Book
Six months before the events of Killing Floor, Jack Reacher is still a major in the United States Army Military Police Corps. When a woman is found murdered behind a bar in Carter Crossing, close to the Mississippi army base, everyone begins to wonder if the killer is an ordinary citizen or a soldier sworn in to protect. Jack is sent undercover to help the county sheriff, an attractive woman who once served as a US Marine. It becomes obvious that her investigation is going nowhere. Could it be that the Pentagon wants to wrap this up? Or is the sheriff trying to hide the secret for some other reason? Read and find out in this exciting prequel and discover if the choices Jack Reacher makes will change his life, and his term in the army, forever.
