Aarti, who is under the care of her brother Darsh, is brutally gangraped. This dark incident leads to Abhijeet, Malvika, Darsh and Aarti to be caught in a web which is the corrupt political system. There is no telling whether justice will be given to Aarti.

    Summary of the Book

Abhijeet Raichand is the highest paid lawyer in Delhi. He has just one aim in life, and that is to make as much money as possible. His fiancee Malavika has been supportive in every way she can. Darsh, a ragpicker, who is left an orphan when he was very young has only one wish, and that is to make sure that his little sister Aarti receives the best in education. All of this changes one very tragic night when Aarthi is brutally raped by three men, one of them being a son of an MLA. Abhijeet, Malvika, Darsh and Aarti are caught in between our corrupt justice system.
While everyone knows that rape is among the worst forms of crime there are still many criminals get away with it in the name of being people of authority, or are not given a suitable punishment for the heinous crime they have committed. It is because of this reason that it is not very clear as to whether Aarti will get justice.

    A must read!!

I completed reading.. The Curse of that night last night.. Once again loved the book like other books of Rochak. It took me down to an unforgettable journey into the life of a rape victim. The first half could have been a bit better. But, overall a nice attempt!!
Wishing you all the very best. Thanks for penning it down.

    Just go for it

Rochak has proved that a good story is not just between teenagers and lovers, but can also be based on social issues like rapes...

I bought this book just because the reviews on flipkart impressed me. Well, I should say this one is extremely well written and depicts the true feelings of a gang-raped girl.

For all those who want to read a mature and innocent story of a girl, don't think twice!!
    Just go for it!!!!!

Not for the faint of heart....

Let me begin with this - Rochak Bhatnagar's writing is nothing like the stuff I've read before by Indian writers. It's simple and concise that makes for the best kind of story telling, like it does for this book. His to-the-point writing style gave the protagonist - Arti - 's voice an added strength that leads you to both understand and admire her. A must read book....All the best Rochak!

    A message for the society...

A book with a clear message for our society and especially men that women is no toy which you can play and throw any time you feel like.
A real good attempt at mentioning the points of the law and land against injustice to women!
The story could have been better in the first half, but never the less an awesome attempt!!

    Curse of the book

No offence meant, but this is a completely useless book. The story disappoints. It is an attempt to put in a story analogous to the Delhi incident. The author is repetitive in mentioning the legal definition of the heinous act. He tries to make it sympathetic but lands up making it just Pathetic. Again recommended to people who just want to start reading as a hobby else, it is just an attempt to put in a lot of love making and no substance.

    Must read!! AWESOME!!!

We come across a number of books everyday but only few give us the rare chance to read and visualize at a time. The Curse of that night is one such book. Kudos to Rochak. He has presented the story in a third person narrative form from each character's perspective . The story holds the readers in grip while reading and when the story ends the hangover continues.

    True page turner by Rochak!

"The Curse Of that Night" by Rochak , in all is a package for the conditions that a woman has to face in a narrative way. It gives us an insight into the atrocities that women get victimized to in the current scenario. This is basically the story of a college-girl, Aarti. How she gets victimized and fights with the humiliation, how she battles to get justice, how she gets stuck and how she congregates courage and fights back and emerges victorious.
The novel is absolutely gripping because, R...

    A Good book to Read

The Curse of that night is an amazing read and the story and its characters are so beautifully conceptualised and written. It is those kind of books which makes you leave everything and gripped to it till the end. The fact that it is written by a male author was surprising as I kept wondering how has a man expressed emotions of a woman so damn well!! A very good attempt!!!
