THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN.

This movie won a lot of awards including National Award and Filmfare. Most of the awards are for Vidya (For best actress). She beautifuly played the role of a girl who wanted to become a super star and her falling.

WHAT A MOVIE............ SUPERB ! VIDYA BALAN IS SO VERY "HOT" THAT MY PROJECTOR LAMP BLASTED AWAY "LITERALLY" ! THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY "NO NEED" TO SEARCH FOR THE REASON... DIALOUGES R PRETTY GOOD... DVD QUALITY IS EXCELLENT.. THANK YOU FLIPKART..

It seems like someone picked up a book filled with one liners and decided to make a movie to put them to use. Having said that, the movie is mostly enjoyable and credit must go to all the actors apart from Vidya Balan who in my personal opinion had left me a little shell shocked by her boldness.

Warning. I wouldn't watch this movie with family. I'd suggest watching this movie with a bunch of friends who're gonna keep you spilts as the movie goes along.

The picture is not so dirty neither was Silk- this was the conclusion which surfed on my mind after watching this movie. When a story line revolves around a glam star, a family view should never be expected and this one is no exception. Great efforts by the whole crew of this movie specially the heroine to portray such a character so convincingly. Her struggles, her frustration and depressions were so naturally depicted on the big screen that in the end viewers sympathize with Silk instead of hating her. I recommend this movie for mature audiences looking out for serious substance.

This is a very professional DVD release which you can always expect from shemaroo.
It contains all the basic DVD features like anamorphic widescreen and 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. The DVD also contains bonus features which includes making of the film. The director's commentary should also have been included in the DVD as the movie was in news for many difficult and bold scenes. This would have definitely enriched the overall appeal of the DVD.
DVD cover is excellent. However I strictly believe that there should be no advertisements on a DVD cover.
Overall, a very good DVD release.

THE FILM DEPICTS THE LIFE OF A STAR.A JOURNEY OF TRANSFORMATION FOR DUST TO SKY AND THEN THE ETERNAL DOWNFALL OF A WANNABIE ACTRESS SILK.EACH PHASE OF SILK'S LIFE IS DIFFERENT WHERE SHE GROWS EXPECTATIONS UPTO THE HEIGHTS UNTIL THEY ARE CRUSHED.
SUPERB ACTING BY VIDYA BALAN,BACKED UP SUCCESFULLY BY NASEERUDDIN SHAH AND TUSSHAR KAPOOR.BUT HE LIMELIGHT SHIFTS ONLY BETWEEN EMRAAN HASMI AND VIDYA.EMRAAN ACTUALLY LIVES THE CHARACTER DEEPLY.STORYWISE NOT SO GREAT BUT NOT ANTICIPATING ANYTHING BEFORE WATCHING,WILL DO THE JOB.
OVERALL A FUN WATCH,WRAPPED RAVISHINGLY.

I had heard a lot of good things about The Dirty Picture, but I must say I was disappointed when I watched it. While Vidya Balan has grown a lot since Parineeta, I found the storyline of the film linear, which resulted in Vidya Balan's character, Silk, not having the nuances and depths that she should have had to make the film interesting. The only point of interest was the love-hate relationship between Silk and Abraham, which also came to a natural conclusion. There is nothing new in this picture. We've seen it all many times before -- albeit not so graphically, perhaps.

This movie is based on the life of a south indian actress.For those people who admire Emraan Bhai....this is a must watch movie.But remember....this movie contains dialogues which are not suitable to watch with family.I personally liked the acting of all the actors and actresses in this film.Songs are good.Vidya balan has done superb work.The dialogues is good.......in short....watch it.
