Read second time recently... simply brilliant.First time I read this gem was almost a decade back. two weeks back, it was second turn. This is not very easy for weak hearted people. I remember one of my co-worker in Florida where he read the book and later after a year was scolding that because this book had so much influence on him, he retracted his personal relation and only focused on work resulting in poor appraisal and poor recognition in project.

BrilliantA wonderful book. It is great to know that such a person like Howard Roark existed at least in the imagination. A spectacular portrayal of the the characters and their stories. You'll may not see a building the same way again after finishing this book. This is a story of a Hero. A keeper for sure. My personal 'the best book ever'. A brilliant piece. I go back to reading this book again and again and derive great joy in doing so every time.

Miss it and you'll miss something damn GOOD!!!After reading fantasy for a year, I was looking for something more real...(Yup there you go I said it!) First thought of picking up a biography or a comedy, then some of my Internet friends suggested this book, "The Fountainhead". I started it expecting nothing but an easy, simple read....but Boy! It just blew me away!! The characterization in no other book I read til date has matched the depth or complexity(how different people can be!) displayed by Ayn Rand. It will show Life in different perspectives and well beyond one's beliefs at times. Howard Roark and Dominique Francon are two characte… (Expand)

IndescribableNot very often do you come across a book, so enigmatic that it makes the other work of art fade into the hindsight. I am yet to read something as immaculate as The Fountainhead. I am yet to see a character as heartbreakingly honest as Howard Roark. I salute the lady who thought light years ahead of her time. A book that changed the world for the better. A world wherein people of fibre still exist!!

Really Worth reading..!!!!The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand is a book that I'll never forget.I am so much obsessed with the book after completing it that i wish it could have lasted for some more time. It is one of those real life situations that almost all of us go through. It generates a kind of insight within us to realize why are we running after fake showoffs when it is not going to land us anywhere. Being original and real to ourselves will help us compete with the World in a much better way.

Paperback Book QualityIf you want to read "The Fountain Head", this book will kill the pleasure that you get from the story.

cheap paper qualityI ordered this novel but the quality of paper Is very cheap, (does paperback mean that?) it's like those yellowish pages that u see at a cheap novel shop with duplicate novels, now I think I might as well have taken a stroll at one of those shops and may be it cud be a better deal than this if reading is all that I cared for, the level of paper used is so poor that u might not want to read it at all, feeling screwed here, and not just this book couple of other books too have the same quality of paper! again have no problem if by paperback u mean a very low quality paper, and if yes, ... it'… (Expand)

Pretentious and Boring!A strictly pseudo-intellectual approach to philosophy. Sorry, but a few contradictory statements thrown in at every juncture are not only annoying but make the book a repulsive read. Ayn Rand expounds her theory of Objectivism through the book. The lesser said about that, the better it is.Viewed through the lens of this book, the world is either too idealitic or too cunning. Not to mention a depressing read. Perhaps the greatest strength of this book-and maybe the only one-is that it will invoke a strong reaction. You will either love it or hate it. There is no middle path.I belong to the latt… (Expand)
