Sci-fi for people who don't like sci-fi,
First of all, you can not start reading this book thinking it is Twilight. I've read the reviews and most (if not all) of the 1 and 2 star reviews are comparing this to Twilight!

A very good read!!
Simply a good read. Easy language. Good emotional content (apart from the fictional content of course). After I was more that three quarters through the book, at one point point I felt why is the story so long and stopped reading for a couple of days. But curiosity got the better of me and I soon found myself cruising though the pages again. Must admit, it is a page turner.

strange but entertaining
i haven't read much of sci-fi lately,and when i read this book it seemed kind of bizzare.i just could not make what the story was actually about,nothing was clear during the first few chapters and having read first few chapters without knowing what actually is going on is so frustrating........but as the story unfolds u start to realise that its actually interesting n different from the trash that we normally read.Its enjoyable and the characters seem so real as if you've always been inside...

The book is one of the best books I have ever read.
Stephenie Meyer has again managed to keep her readers stunned after the famous 'TWILIGHT SAGA'.
I absolutely loved it.
In fact this one is better than TWILIGHT..and its movie is coming out soon too....! im sure it will garner many awards!

Just as beautiful as twilight.....
The book is a perfect read for twilight fans,nothing undervalued. The book is of course way much better than the movie. The author's perfect style of writing captures the reader's mind completely into this novel. I was certainly at a loss in the first few chapters. But soon got the hang of it. It will stay in our mind and haunt you for weeks even after finishing. Recommended book for all fans of twilight saga.

i dont like sifi books and shows but i absolutely loved it..
like the author said "its science fiction for people who does not like science fiction"
this book is only in this category because of aliens otherwise there is not much of sifi.
i recommend this book to every one who likes love stories and even sifi stories.. its a wonderful mixture of both.

really good read..
Read a book this gripping after a long long time.... the storyline, the characters are very well developed and I loved the fact that the supporting characters are as well defined and strong and main ones.

This book is different from the Twilight series....yes it is science fiction but Meyer plays along with a lot of human emotions...love, hate, jealousy, friendship
And 'The Host' being the title- the "enemy" finds her place with the people she loves and the ones that love her
