Summary of the Book

Plagued by the myth of the mystic hound, the Baskerville family has constantly lived in fear. When Sir Charles Baskerville dies mysteriously, everyone blames the hound. However, Sherlock Holmes begs to differ. He journeys to the moorland to prove that there is no such thing as a supernatural hellhound, and he hopes to protect the remaining Baskerville heirs from the murderer. However, there is a creature that prowls the moorland at night, one that could convince anyone that it is a demon hound.

About Arthur Conan Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish writer and physician best known for his mystery novels and short stories featuring Sherlock Holmes. He is also famous his Professor Challenger series detailed in: The Lost World, The Poison Belt and The Land of Mist.

Doyle studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh. He was knighted in 1902 by King Edward for his services as a volunteer doctor in the Langman Field Hospital at Bloemfontein between March and June 1900.
