Summary of the Book
The Outsiders is a coming-of-age story of a young lad named Ponyboy, who finds himself on the outskirts of the society because of his social-economic status. According to Ponyboy, there are two kinds of people in the world – the greasers and socs. The socs had money, a lot of attitude, and could get away with anything under the sun, while the greasers were poor and social outcasts. Ponyboy is a greaser and he was more than willing to fight a gang of socs for the sake of his fellow greasers. But one night one of the greasers takes things way too far and Ponyboy's world comes crashing down! A heroic tale of friendship and belonging, The Outsiders will make for a riveting read for people of all ages.
