Description

The Third Bullet is based on the assassination of the American President, John F. Kennedy and tries to unearth some answers to the baffling information surrounding it.

Summary Of The Book

In The Third Bullet, the protagonist, Bob Lee Swagger, tries to find out why the third bullet, which was instrumental in the assassination of the former American President, John F. Kennedy, exploded. Many investigators and authors who followed the case remain clueless about the third bullet. The book has its roots in the first novel that the author wrote, Point Of Impact.

Through the book, the author aims to expose the mastermind behind the explosion of the third bullet that killed the President. In the beginning of the book, an author, who is investigating the assassination is run down by a car. His wife, convinced that it was not an accident but a murder, approaches Bob Lee Swagger for help in the investigation. He sets out to explore several unanswered questions relating to the assassination.

The points that puzzle him are the explosion of the third bullet and why Lee Oswald headed back to his place to retrieve the pistol instead of carrying it with him. Swagger also tries to understand how the assassination was planned before the route that the ex-President was going to take was announced.

The Third Bullet takes an interesting turn when CIA operative, Hugh Meachum, comes into the scene with secrets that nobody knows of. But, he is unwilling to reveal them for various reasons. As they travel across the world in search of the answers, the actual story behind the mystery slowly unravels.

Even though the book pertains to an oft-written topic, it has the power to draw any reader to its plot. The book has used a novel perspective with regard to the murder and the ammunition used, something unexplored in other books.
