Mixed

A film about Dada will always interest his fans - so full marks on that. But as a film/documentary, its mediocre at best. It felt like a compilation of whatever has been in newspapers & TV already. Had little view of the inside of the Man's life. Kind of a quickly put together pieces. As a Warrior, I'd have liked to see more about what happened when Dada was down & out. VEry little there on this. Also spent many minutes showing the Kolkata city, why? Chaiti's narration is boring, Mir sounds much better in the background. Amateurly crafted

The documentary has little more to offer than what most Indian cricket followers already know about the legend himself. The film seems to be made on a shoe string budget and lacks depth. Nevertheless, most of Bengal will reminiscence with pride as they go through the movie.

There are a few lines that Amitabh recites with his characteristic baritone. Unfortunately, they are mostly adolescent cliches and fails to make impact. The rest of the monologues are unimpressive.

Sachin speaks animatedly; Dravid does his bit; Saurav is eloquent. Chappel, too, speaks but says nothing new.

The interview of the family(Saurav, Dona and their daughter, parents) gives an insightful glimpses.
