Theodore Boone is back in a new adventure, in John Grisham’s second novel for children, Theodore Boone: The Abduction.
Summary Of The Book
Theodore Boone: The Abduction is the second book from the Theodore Boone series and follows Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer, the first book that introduced readers to the popular character.
This is a fast-paced novel that caters to young kids (9-12 year olds) and adults alike. Theodore Boone is the only child of two high-profile lawyers, and is a quick-witted American school kid with mind-boggling knowledge and interest in the field of law.
The story revolves around Theodore’s best friend and confidante April Finnemore, who goes missing in the middle of the night, without a sign of any break-in. April comes from a problematic family - her father is still trying to make a living by playing in his unsatisfactory band and her mother peddles goat cheese. Her parents, while still married, don’t live together and April is often left alone in the house. During one such instance, her mother gets back home late at night to find April missing.
Around the same time, April’s distant cousin Jack Leeper, who was also her pen-pal, of which Theodore had no clue, escapes from prison and has been sighted in the area. The police zero in on him, but is he the real kidnapper?
Resplendent with the page-turning suspense that has made John Grisham the best-selling author of legal mysteries, Theodore Boone’s endearing and sharp wit and ways will keep the readers guessing till the very end.
A sequel to this book, the third in the Theodore Boone series, entitled Theodore Boone: The Accused went released on 15th May, 2012.

Such a disappointing book! Absolutely no story, no thrills. Kept waiting for a turn or a twist but it never came!
Theo's girlfriend dissappears, whether she was abducted or did she willingly go with her drunkard/rock band member father.
Theo and friends take up the task of locating her upon themselves even though the police launch a massive search for her.
This is not your typical Grisham book with court room drama and suspense.
This is more of a teen novel rather a novel for kids. Those who liked Grisham's "A Time to Kill" and "The Firm" will be dissappointed.
This book seems to be written by a confused kid. It is absolutely disappointing. I won't waste money on his next book.
the book is just simply awesome but still not as good as other books of grisham but is still an interesting one to read.the book was delivered on time but a slight tear on the top and the cover page. but is all very nice and i'll say it again that it is all awesome but if one wants to buy it ,he should be a grisham fan otherwise it isnt worth buying for him as it will seam useless to him
boy with keen interest in law and order and unique style of solving his friends problems... Theodore is one Special Child who helps his county's person with their problems with law... book is like EASY GOING and FEEL GOOD kind... Simple John Grisham's legal thriller
