..relatively tame tales

This collection is as usual well written, yet many have a semi-predictable feel.. the anticipated punch is often mild.. specially as the previous book of his read by me was "Paths of Glory".. And for diehard Archer fans (like me) its a must read book :-))

Disappointed !!

Disappointed will be an understatement. This book is nothing more than a potboiler from Mr. Archer. I think the publisher and Jeff just wished to ride the popularity curve. Stay away from it or else you will regret.

Another Entertainer from the Archer stable

Jeffrey Archer delivers another set of short stories with consistency.
Some of the stories are ingenious, humorous and moving at the same time.

Regular readers of Archer would predict some of the outcomes. But it is a good read for anyone who prefers a light read over the weekend.

Just okay

Come on Sir. Archer. You can do better than this. Some stories are jaded and old wine in a new bottle.
One story is a rehash of a Ruskin Bond tale.
The title story feels incomplete and I wonder if can really be made into a movie.
Overall, a disappointing outing.
