A classic movie based on a classic novel
I had read the novel by Harper Lee and was curious to see if the movie could reproduce the magic of the novel. Being a visual medium, a movie cannot be a replica of the written word but this movie comes pretty close. Performance by Gregory Peck is understated and the children in the movie have done an excellent job. Seems a little quaint to viewers used to the polished photography, camera angles and special effects of today's movies. But it more than makes up for this in its big hearted story. A must watch.
