Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX AF 11 - 16 mm f/2.8 for Canon Digital SLR Wide-angle Zoom Lens  (Black)

I purchased this lens after going through so many reviews. I was more inclined towards Canon 10 to 22mm, but finally decided buy this one because of the cost advantage, Constant f2.8 aperture throughout its range and good reviews from its existing users.
So far my experience is very good, very well built, feels solid in hand.
It comes with a attached Lens hood.
Zoom range is very small, it wont bother much if the application is just wide angle shots.
Very good optical quality for the price.

I was looking for a UWA lens for my canon 500D and I did quite a lot of research over the internet regarding these lenses. Ultimately I choose to buy this for a few reasons and it seems like I did a good choice. I am very happy with this lens and I would like to state my review one by one:

1) Great build quality: This lens does not feel 'cheapy'. Its sutdy and feels substantial in your hand. Made primarily with high grade plastics and metal this lens would take substantial abuse.
