Apologies for the long post but a little help if needed -

So I ordered this Adapter on the 26th of April and received it on the 27th!Kudos Flipkart!

I have a wired broadband connection on my desktop PC (which has no wireless capability) and a netbook that was desperate for some internet!

It seems like anything that could go wrong did, so here's a break down for anyone facing any trouble -

1) The CD that came with the Adapter refused to open so I downloaded the driver and utility manually from the TP-LINK website

2) After following the quick in...

Best Low Cost USB WiFi

I got this product today from Flipkart. I tested it on Windows XP and Windows 7. Its an awesome product and the best low lost USB WiFi.

Range: Around 20 meters with strong signal. 3-4 bars almost everywhere in my house.

You can use this device to connect your PC/Laptop to WiFi routers.

The best part of this device is you can use it as WiFi Hotspot, yes you can actually share the internet in your PC (wired connection) with Tablets, Laptops and Mobile Phones at high speed using this device. ...

Excellent Product

This product is really good value for your money. I don't think you will find product of this quality in such a discounted price.

Range: My second desktop is approx 10 meter away and there are two walls between it. Signal strength varyies from very good and good.

Compatibility: I am using it with my ZTE (ZXDSL 531B) router provided by BSNL. It works very well with it.

Delivery : I bought this product on Thursday evening 5 and it was out of delivery was initiated at 7PM. I got it on Sat 2PM...

Get You Own Home WiFi

Sole reason I seeked for this project was sharing my wired connection to tablets and other devices.I use Linux and so resource CD was kind of useless. It supported this device , so I just needed to figure out how to turn on soft AP mode.Apparently Linux NetWorkManager won't support AP mode just yet , it's still in development.

So here are few steps to make it work.

1) Download [script] Create a NATed WiFi Access Point (Just search in google with this term)
2) Find out your devices by "ifconf...

Easy to install and use

This is easy to use and install. Works very well with Linux. I use ubuntu and it worked out of the box. No need to install any drivers. Looks really nice. Other similar devices I used earlier, used to heat up very quickly. This is not.

Great Product! But a bit of tricky to use.

Well I bought this product on flipkart and they delivered it next day that too WITHOUT one-day-instant delivery. Thanks flipkart :)

Now about product: I bought this product to create hotspot in my broadband enabled pc so I can use internet on my android device. I though it is easy to configure like router but IT'S NOT. So I would suggest anyone buyinf for this reason and money isn't the problem then definitely go for router.
So this is how i configured:

I installed tp-link utility and opene...

Works great for use as a SoftAP

I am a network technical trainer and lots of times in my line of work, clients do not allow access to their corporate network. So sharing training material and lab setup on the corporate network is not feasible.

This USB device solved my problem in a jiffy. I literally made my laptop as a server to which trainees could login to and run their labs on virtual machines. Trainees would then log on to my laptop over wireless through the SoftAP.

Setting up the SoftAP with the software that come...
