TP-LINK TL-WR740N 150Mbps Wireless N Router

It is best value for money product and have decent range in my 500 sq yard house. Setup was easy and it came with installation cd and ethernet cable to connect it with computer.

However it gave me initial problem with my bsnl adsl modem.
I could browse most sites but could not access some sites like yahoo and nokia official site.

I contacted usa representative and they told me that reduce mtu size by 20 or 40 and it worked for me .

go to tplinklogin (dot)net ,add user name and password you created (default is admin ,admin)
go to network:-wan:-advanced:-mtu size :-reduce it by 20 or 40

(default was 1480 ,i reduced 20 and saved it as 1460 and it worked)"

My first reaction was how can a router with 5 db gain be available for the cheapest price. There has to be some catch. Almost ordered a different router with 2 antennas each of 2 db gain because of price. Finally settled on this to give it a try. And was wowed. There is nothing missing. Have complete coverage for over two floors(over 3200 sq. ft) across 6 rooms. I intend to use it only for Internet connection, so anything over 10 mbps in the periphery is alright with me. And of course, it has WDS, so you can always extend it. I had a Cisco router before this. Bought only for name and boy was I disappointed.

ossum product received this within 3 days and with extremely easy installation process for setting up wifi i am using bsnl adsl modem and initially i had a problem that i was unable to access few sites like yahoo,microsoft,etcc then i had to change the mtu size to 1460(default is 1480) after changing i had to restart the laptop then the problem was solved :) everything else is perfect speed is amazing this is the best router in market for home purpose

to change MTU size go to 192.168.0.1 default username password is admin,admin then network>WAN>advanced

A budget router, with 5dbi antenna...what more could be said about it. I received this product today, and setting it up was very easy on a Linux machine. Took me 2 minutes to set it up to work with both my MTNL ADSL Modem, and my Tikona connection. There are a lot of useful features already, plus custom DD-WRT firmware for this model are also available. I'm hoping to try them as well soon.

I've been facing one issue so far, which is not really a big issue. My previous router used to forward the IP to my PC, dynamically allocated by both MTNL ADSL Modem, and my Tikona connection. And, because Tikona allocates public IP, I used to set up my PC as temporary public server sometimes. This router however, dynamically maps those IPs with it's new range, which is then assigned to the PC. And, because of this I'm unable to set it up as a public server so far. But, I've not explored it much yet.

I bought this product on 25/05/2012 at 11.30 am and received it on 26/05/2012 at 11 am, in less that 24 hours. That's really fantastic effort from Flipkart.
Now about the product, it is of very good build quality and connections are very easy. I initially had very tough time to install with my internet service provider as it was not accepting username and password. I then called up this products service center as well as my internet service provider. The problem was with internet service provider and I rectified it and everything is running very smoothly.
The wifi range is also good and I don't have any problem with it. I am able to connect my computer, laptop, my phone as well as my tablet simultaneously and facing no problem at all.
All in all, a good product at a fantastic price from Flipkart. I also came to know that the same router is also provided by my internet service provider, albeit at a higher price of Rs 2500/- plus installation charges so I know I have saved a lot of money through buying it on Flipkart.
