Compatible RAM to my Dell Inspiron 6400 (DDR2 667 MHz)
i was bit hesitant(infact a lot) to open upgrade my dell inspiron 6400 laptop myself. I had 2 modules of 512 MB (total 1GB RAM) of type DDR2 and speed 667MHz in my laptop when i bought it. boon for old lapies
It's a new birth for my 8 year old compaq presario v6000(512 mb ram with winxp).
after using this my machine easily runs ubuntu14.04lts(64bit),which is much faster then xp.
due to hardware limitation(v6000 maximum supports 2gb ram) booting takes few extra moments(64 bit os needed > 2gb ram for lighting fast performance),but still far better then poor xp.
this works for me, go for it.
p.s.- check the compatibility and module(1gb/2gb) with your laptop.

While choosing RAM, run Crucial scan on your machine and see the requirements. The results i got from crucial scan were matching to the specification of this Item.

works with compaq presario v6425tu
the 512mb pre-installed in my v6425tu was inadequate to allow smooth running of windows 7. now i've upgraded to 2GB(2x1GB) and system works smoothly, i can also do autocad-2d drawings with ease.
so if u get a used laptop from a family member (like i did) and all u want to do is watch movies surf the net, then a ram upgrade will do.....

It's the first time I ordered something from Flipkart that is not a book. I wanted to upgrade my 4 year old Compaq Presario V6000 laptop. It was running perfectly fine except that it had become really slow. I ordered for 2 units of 1 GB Ram and after installing the new memory sticks in my laptop, it has been running really quick. Just shut down the laptop, reme the battery, again press the Power button, to ensure that there is no static charge. Installed Transcend 1GB ram on my laptop and could feel the difference. Boot time and performance has improved.
First of all before ordering RAM for upgrade cross check with crucial.com and system information software for windows about how much RAM is actually supported by your system.
Most of the case 32 bit OS can support upto 4GB RAM and 64bit OS can support upto 16GB RAM, however lot of it depends on motherboard and system clock speed compatibility.

Great quality, delivered on time
