Transcend DDR2-667/PC2-5300 DDR2 1 GB Laptop RAM (JM667QSU-1G)

i was bit hesitant(infact a lot) to open upgrade my dell inspiron 6400 laptop myself. I had 2 modules of 512 MB (total 1GB RAM) of type DDR2 and speed 667MHz in my laptop when i bought it. To confirm the compatibility of RAM module i was about to buy, i searched on the web and found that Most Inspiron 6400 laptops use DDR2 667 /PC2-5300 ram. I even opened up my laptop backpanel and confirmed the ram module specs(opening laptop is very trivial job, these laptops are organized in a neat way to upgrade or change things, i just needed to open 2 screws to access my RAM modules. There are lot of youtube resources you can checkout for doing this).
i ordered 2X1 GB = 2GB modules from Transcend and upgraded my machine. and voila!! it's working like charm.
I could have sourced the memory modules from nehru place in delhi, but such is the trust i have on Flipkart that i feel guarantee provided by flipkart is more valuable than any local nehru place vendor. And i was really pleased to see my memory modules delivered in sealed condition in a very nice packaging.

I still work with an HP Zd8000 laptop running Pentium 4 processor with HT (not sure if anyone remembers those now!). Obviously, speed is a matter of great concern (even more for a laptop model dating from year 2004!)

I ordered this particular RAM from Flipcart as I had two ports & was running 1 GB ram in one of the ports already. There were no hassles really. As soon as I restarted the machine, the new RAM was identified (Windows XP) & I began to see an immediate difference (especially when working with heavy files & multi tasking). All in all, very happy with the product & definitely recommend this to soup up your old laptops.

Installation was a breeze really. You snip out the old RAM & pop the new one one. Be a little careful when you pull the two snaps away which hold DDR2 rams in place. Also take care when inserting the RAM; ensure you tilt the RAM slightly till the connector pins are all aligned & then push the new RAM all the way in till you hear the sound of snaps clicking back in.

Lastly, great professional work by Flipcart again; I had ordered a bunch of different things. Although they all arrived on different days/different packages, Flipcart team kept me in loop (SMS & e-mail) on the delivery schedule & were prompt. Keep up the good work guys :)

It's the first time I ordered something from Flipkart that is not a book. I wanted to upgrade my 4 year old Compaq Presario V6000 laptop. It was running perfectly fine except that it had become really slow. I ordered for 2 units of 1 GB Ram and after installing the new memory sticks in my laptop, it has been running really quick. The delivery was done in less than 3 days. Packaging was great.

I bought this RAM thro Flipkart. As always, the delivery was very prompt and in a good packing conditions.

I have been using my Presario V 6000 series laptop for the past 6 years with out any trobule. But the speed was very slow because it had only 512 MB RAM. After installing 2 Nos. 1 GB RAM... it works rocking.... too good..... I never thought, I would get a top speed performance.

The transcend DDR2-667/PC2-5300 DDR2 is very good compare to other similar products.The price also cheap compared with similar products.The price at flipkart is definitely cheaper than the shops.
