Design
This music player from Transcend is lightweight, weighing just 62 g. The dimensions of the MP860 are 94 x 50 x 12 mm and fits perfectly in your hands and pockets. The 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen of the PMP with resolution of 240 x 320 shows off videos and images in high contrast and rich colors. The rectangular shaped music player comes in an elegant design with smooth finish, giving it a more aesthetic touch.Immediately beneath the screen, the name of the company is inscribed. The main control buttons of the MP860 music player lie just below that. A rectangular play/pause button is present at the center, surrounding which are the forward and backward keys (right and left) and volume increase and decrease keys (top and bottom).
The right spine of this Transcend device houses the hold, reset and option buttons, while to the left of the music player is the microSD card slot. Apart from this, there are other slots that include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB port and a charger port.

The Transcend MP860 is powered by a rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery that gives you over 22 hours of continuous music playback. Good but battery charger is not the standard accessory
I bought this product (MP860 4GB) a couple of months back for my son. Its not the best in this category but for this price tag its a good product. Easy to use, good sound quality, rather good video quality...so its good for normal music listening or watching videos. The ebook (txt) feature doesn't seem to work.
However, the biggest drawback is that it does not come with a battery charger. You are suppose to charge the battery while working on your PC; that means if you are traveling, you are without any means to charge the battery. In my view, not including charger as an standard accessory for these kind of devices is nothing short of a crime. Also the charger is not available on flipkart, so if you want to buy it separately, it's not there.
Transcend Audiophile music on the move
Been using the Transcend with a 32GB memory card for the past 6 months. I transfer all my FLAC audio files on to this player. This player can play FLAC files upto 24bit/92Khz but not 24bit?192Khz. The music sounds great being lossless. It allows me to make 5 playlists according to my choice. I can hook it up to my music system and play my FLAC music through my Creek Amp and it sounds just terrific!
I can also copy FLV files on to this and hence have access to good quality videos as well. At the price it comes at (40GB) - it is a steal. I would however recommend good quality earphones and wish that the player could also play 24bit/192Khz files!

When you purchase this product, you get more quality value against your cash value. The recording quality is good, too. And wow! The memory card slot can enhance your memory upto 32GB more. Good video quality, good sound (best you will get in this budget). The only drawback i found is REWINDING AND FORWARDING operations are too slow.
