For Trish Crider, a sixty-five-year-old widow, living in the community of Kensington fulfills a happy lifestyle. Her deceased husband John established the successful Crider Real Estate Agency, which was sold to their ambitious son, Carl. Trish, her daughter Danielle and Carl inherited a valuable tract of land on nearby Pelican Lake, affectionately known as The Pines. The intrusion of two handsome land developers into their lives turns Trishs life upside down.
