Written and created by Nic Pizzolatto and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, True Detective is a crime-drama mystery TV series which stars Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey of Dallas Buyers Club fame, Primetime Emmy Award-winner Woody Harrelson and Michelle Monaghan. The storyline of this epic show follows two detectives with opposite personalities who, in Louisiana, attempt to capture a serial killer in a chase that lasts 17 years. Along their path of justice, they are constantly confronted by their inner demons while trying to cage a devil.
