One of the best films in recent times and times to come!

Anything you say about Udaan is less. It can't be described. It is one of those films where words fall short to describe the experience. You have to watch it, experience it. One of the most fundamental issue that underlies the story, which is not very explicitly shown, is significance of a mother in a family (or better say, Indian family). Also it may feel strange but for me, in the story, there are no villains.

I might be overstepping the line here, but I'll still say that if you could appreciate the film, enjoy it and are willing to experience it again, you have achieved 'nirvana' in the...

Just Okay

While the story from the perspective of adolescent character is okay - the character like that of the father is something of extreme & unreal. There may be such people, but perhaps .001%

So, the storyline becomes a bit non-real. Besides the way the story has been treated, is more like the 80s - definitely reminded me of Smita Patil movies where ones eye would get strained in the darkness of the scenes !

The story could have been handled better. This movie cannot compare itself to films like Stanley ka Dabba, or the Amir Khan starer children movies
