Synopsis and Features
Who would win in a fight between Chris Redfield from Resident Evil 5 and The Hulk? Is Iron Man so strong that he can take down the mighty Nathan Spencer? All these questions would be running around in a dedicated gamer’s mind like you. Now you can find answers to all these queries by playing Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Featuring the famous heroes from both the comic universes, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 offers plenty of fun for both children and adults alike.
Developed and published by Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 can be the perfect addition to your ever-growing gaming collection. The single-player mode starts with you selecting 3 characters to fight in a 1 vs. 1 match against your opponent. Just like the previous games you can switch from one character to another any time you want. The game does not disappoint any Capcom or Marvel devotee as it adds 10 new characters to its already star-studded line-up. These include Doctor Strange, Firebrand, Ghost Rider, Frank West and several others.
Combos in the game can be earned by punching your opponents into pulp. Each shot you land on your opponent will allow you to increase your team’s Hyper Combo meter. Fill this up and you can execute heavier and stronger fight moves such as Hyper Combos and Snap Backs. The game’s main objective is to drain your opponent’s health and fill up your Hyper Combo meter before the time runs out.
Various modes are available in the game that include Touch mode, Arcade, Training and Mission offline mode. Training mode is where you will be spending most of your time as you can learn new tricks and hone your skills. The touchpad at the back of the console makes for an excellent control system as you can swipe the player to any direction you want and then push a button to land a combo. The unique ability to combine touch with other button controls gives you more freedom to control your character’s moves.
A solid multiplayer option in a game enhances its likability even more. Ranked and non-ranked matches can be played against the best players from across the world by setting up an ad-hoc network. This can be great fun if you have made friends online and want to play against them after school. As you progress further you can unlock things such as special power-ups and many other things. Downloadable content is available for the game that adds a new mode known as Heroes and Heralds mode.

While Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 delivers nostalgic fun, it is a game quickly forgotten. The game is undeniably enjoyable, and can offer days of fun. However its flaws prevent any lasting impact.
The gameplay of UMvC 3 is in a word, amazing. The game offers the combo heavy insanity of an old arcade brawler, with controls adapted in an elegant formation. The controls convey the feel of an old school arcade box with a joystick and three attack buttons, and increasingly complicated combo attacks.
Alteration between characters, special combos and assists evokes the classic mayhem of the MvC series of old. In addition it offers a simpler command orientation for players intimidated by the complexity said games, easing access to new players. The game is solid fun.
However what the game earns in gameplay it loses in story. Story in any brawler is subsidiary, UMvC possesses no story at all. The entire game is predicated on characters making wry references to their backstories.
We are offered no explanation as to the nature of the conflict, why it is or even whom it’s between. The problem is compounded by a short arcade mode. While this may have sufficed in MvC’s hayday, in comparison to modern brawlers like Soul Calibur it is a problem.
The environment of UMvC 3 is a mixed bag. Cell shaded graphics combine next gen resolution with a comic book feel.
The music is frankly disappointing. Considering the many franchises represented one would expect more, however the music remains easily forgotten at best, annoying at worst. The level design however is very well done, making stage variation one of the key reasons to continue playing the game.
The characters chosen in this installment do not follow conventional wisdom. This is both good and bad.
While fans can enjoy unexpected characters like the Taskmaster and X-23, there are many characters that have no business being in a brawler, and result in poor balance.
Lots of great characters and stages
The excellent animations and bright colors make a return
Combat is fun as hell
Feels more like a DLC pack
Lack of variety in game modes
this game is awesome guys i have been playing it for the last 8 hours and it is totally wort the money. the gameplay is amazing sometimes a lil too easy when the touch part comes into play but that is a option you can turn of and on the story is not much of a reason to get the game but its the best fighting platform game on the vita rite now the graphics are rich and bright the combos are perfectly done. this is one game you wont regret getting and again flipkart rocks got it really quick :)
