What a real masterpiece to read!
I would like to mention that I picked up this book just by its name "the unbearable lightness of being", until now I was not among Milan Kundera's readers, but yes! now I am. He is a prolific writer and genius with expressions and words too. This is one of the best books that I've ever read and I highly recommend it. It might get a bit difficult to read sometimes, but do stick with it and complete it. I promise it's a whole new experience.

Easily one of the best books I have read thus far. Kundera, for those who have not touched upon his work, has a knack of seamlessly weaving in all sorts of quirks that relate to events in your daily life into the fabric of his narration. If you hear about it as a story, or read the excerpt, you will only get an idea of the frame and not the painting. I hope this has stroked your fancy. Please do give it a read.

Reading Kundera for the first time... really good work..not as captivating as Murakami...but still it's great with philosophy and politics...

This was my first Milan Kundera Novel. It is really unique in its approach about love, understanding and human connections. It was a wonderful ride! The philosophical speculations in between are funny yet thought provoking.
The quality of the binding was not 'very' good. The print was good, but a page got separated from the book. Also, for those who get hooked up because of the story telling, this may disappoint you a bit, but the content surely won't!
It deserves all the praise. Give it a try!
