An athlete turning into a rebel is itself an astounding fact. Paan SinghTomar (Irrfan) an army soldier plunges into the sports while in the army. He runs and leaves everyone spellbound by his endurance. On insistence of his coach, he trains hard for the steeplechase category. After he strikes gold there is no looking back. He keeps the foot moving till his hair turn white.
Circumstances make him leave the army and return back to his village. From an athlete he now transforms into a rebel Ironically, Paan Singh, who once ran for glory now runs for his life. What follows is a moving tale in the life of Paan Singh Tomar who battles to survive.
IRRFAN makes the screen come alive. He portrays the character to perfection. He is fluent when it comes to different shades of the character. Director Tigmanshu Dhulia deserves accolades for making such a film. Real locations astute castings complement the film well.
