"I've put in so many enigmas and puzzles that it will keep the professors busy for centuries arguing over what I meant, and that's only way of insuring one's immortality."
If you like to read something stupendously serious work of fiction then this book is for you. Some critics have hailed it as the novel of novels. Aren't you curious?
I ordered this book when my Professor said he didn't understand this book. Yes,it is rather confusing and almost impossible to read, but don't lose hope. The narrative quickly sets in and it lures the reader into a pandemonium (a order in chaos, actually.)
Its puns and allusions are epic. And sometimes you will laugh out loud if you understand who on earth is talking
I finished the book in a single read. Christoper is a rare character who is honest, yet hilarious. If you are a grammar nazi don't read this book. The language is seriously lucid. Ordinary readers will not find anything special in the book, except that it is hilarious. But certainly there is more to this novel than just a lame murder mystery of a dog. It deals with a protagonist who is suffering from an illness and how he feels about people. Surely enjoyed reading it, but ruminating on the themes is more delightful.
An absolute pleasure to read. The narrative is gripping and doesn't let the reader slip away. It has some universal religious theme and the Bengal, gosh, he is one little doll. It is weave of humor and satire. Either way it is a beautiful read.
Stephen King at his best. It is a part memoir and also a book on writing. King gives some cool tips for writers and he covers all the parts about writing. Except the publishing part. Loved it. Very inspiring.
