The Vanguard Alta Pro tripod is extremely flexible and allows you to shoot in various angles at different places. The 263AT weighs 2 kg and the tripod can take weights up to 7 kg in the straight position and 5 kg when it is tilted. The bubble level of the Vanguard Alta pro tripod helps you in setting your frame appropriately without any destruction. The Instant Swivel Stop-n-Lock System (ISSL) on this tripod easily repositions the centre column in just one movement in a few seconds while it still maintains the stability of the tripod.
Body
The foldable leg of the Vanguard tripod helps you in easily packing and carrying the tripod. The length of the tripod when it has been folded is 630 mm. The maximum operating height of the Vanguard tripod is 1650 mm to make the maximum utilization of it. The 3 sections of the legs of the Alta Pro 263AT can be used to adjust the tripod at different levels. You can mount your camera unfolding all the 3 sections if you want the tripod to be high and unfold only 1 section for an average height.The diameter of the leg of the Vanguard tripod is 26 mm and is sturdy and dynamic for you to mount your camera on. These legs of the 263AT tripod have Quick-flip lock feature which enables you to quickly lock and unlock, and adjust the tripod height while you are shooting. The legs adjust to 25, 50 and 80? angles for your convenience. The feet of the legs are made of rubber and these feet have spikes that are anti-slip which help you when you are shooting outdoors on uneven surfaces.

Robust & Versatile
This is one robust and versatile tripod there is.
Pros: 1. its versatility - the angles of movement of legs is a big plus
2. ability to bring the centre column out to make it horizontal of collapse it outside gives you many creative possibilities.
3. The build quality is great, it gives you a sense of security and worthy of your camera
Cons: this is not a carry around tripod for most. It is heavy as perhaps it is meant to be but asking for these features with lesser weight (by using alloys perhaps) at this price is not unreasonable either.

Best tripod for the price range
Aluminium does a good job holding everything in place and each and every feature has its own specialities not light weight but you know its not light weight for a reason, hook it up with a gh-100 and you can go around the world with this tripod without getting a scratch on your cam. My best buy ever!

this tripod is amazing. easily extends to 6 feet. Aluminium is rare for a tripod at this price level. look at this amazing video by someone on youtube who tells you all you need to know.
