Verbatim DVD+R DL (8.5GB) 10 Pack Spindle

recently i bought 10 pack verbatim.burned and played some xgd3 formatted games successfully.previously i used other brand media and they are failed at finalizing disc.but these verbatim are good.of course this discs are some costlier than cheap quality disc's but worth it.

I almost always only use Sony, TDK and Verbatim blank media, upon holding a disc out of this spindle, I found it is less thicker than what I'm usually used to holding. This was my first sign of suspicion.

First thing to know about blank media is, the place it is manufactured at is more important than the brand name itself. Big companies often hire smaller companies to expand their product line worldwide.

The Disc ID for this product is MBIPG101-R12-00. The pro users already know what I'm about to say ahead.

This particular product is manufactured in India, it doesn't say where. But a little google-fu will tell you that these discs come from Moser Baer. I'm not a fan of MoserBaer, but so far the product has been fine. The real test of blank media is in the longevity of the product, which is where moser has lost my trust.

Also worth noting is that, I found the dye to be "leaking"(for the lack of a better word) out of its area, you can notice some purple spots oozing out of it's area in this blurry picture : http://i.imgur.com/2RJtorA.jpg

Whether this is a problem or not, only time will tell. But, I am disappointed in Verbatim for risking their trusted brand name by associating it with a cheap product. The Verbatim blurays that I had used in the U.S. were fantastic in every respect by comparison, This is not the same Verbatim.

Lastly, Flipkart was great as expected. Ordering was a breeze, and the delivery was quick, and the product was well protected and packaged. The box was a little banged up, but the product was in perfect condition.

I bought this from Flipkart and surprised to see it two days later in my house. Lightning fast delivery for something thats more than 2000 kms away. The best blank media out there for burning XGD3, XGD2 and other formats of Xbox 360 games. Using the Lite-On iHas234B Burner i no longer have to truncate my burns i can burn to the very edge of the disc. This is so cool. Loved it........

Awesome product from verbatim! Don't hesitate to go for it just because verbatim is not that popular over here in India.compared to sony/moserbaer, if you want some good DL disks then I think it's the best deal considering the more-or-less low price!!! Each DVD worked fine,without any bug at all.Moreover Flipkart, as always, is at their best in delivering the product without undue delay , and no comments on it genuineness! Come's with extra protection and good packaging from flipkart, and I am pleased both with verbatim and flipkart! Indeed flipkart made online shopping a reality in INDIA!

Hey guys, I really needed to store large data on DVD's but many times it couldn't be split into DVD's like PC Game ISO images.....they are of size more than a single layer DVD could handle. But after I got to know about this Verbatim DVD Double layer, I was pleased that it can accommodate upto 8 GB of data in single disc; so I bought it immediately. Now I m happy that I can store huge data in single disc.

I recommend this product to those who want to store huge intact data in single disc.
