Book: Voices From The Street: An Ethnography Of Indias Street Children: A Case Study Of Delhi
Past studies about Indias street children have been positioned within a universal construct of childhood, whereby children are perceived to be vulnerable and innocent, and have focused on shared similarities rather than cultural differences or distinguishing attributes. The way in which culture, societal values, family circumstances, lived experience, and individual contexts affect the choices street children make is often overlooked.

*it sucks
Review by laura white
I read this book and it isn´t at all accurate. I actually know the woman who wrote it and unfortunately can´t say much for her work ethic or personal morals. She is completely unobjective in every respect of her research habits. She sees only what she wants to see which is usually far from the truth. The publisher of this book should be ashamed for not looking into Lori McFadyen´s past before printing something written by her. Don´t waste your money on this rubbish.
*Re: Laura White's Comment

Laura White is a pitiful excuse for a human being. She is unable to produce any of her own work worth reading. Her personal attack on somebody who has committed their life to working and living in India is down right rude.

Laura is extremely self rightous in her description of McFadyen. Perhaps she needs to take a look at what it means to be a researcher. Personally, I'd rather read material that takes a subjective look at a life many don't understand. Subjectivity allows readers to understand the experiences of another.

Laura white is a waste of space.
