Wahl Pro 8466-324 & 8466-108 Super Taper Clipper Trimmer

I'm glad that I'm the first certified buyer to post the review on this awesome product and I won't make this review very long and boring.

I chose this product over it's closest competitor on Flipkart, Andis. Rest all other brands which are currently available on Flipkart don't even come close, simply because they are delicate products meant for casual trimming.

Wahl and Andis is what you need for serious clipping/trimming requirement to take care of every visible hair on any part of your body. My requirement is to trim my head hair, as I regularly maintain a bald look and I need to trim once every week, so I just wanted a product that is heavy duty, reliable and does a satisfying job quickly.

I have been an owner of an Andis trimmer (which my friend brought from US) for 4 years before buying this one and I started to experience problems with my Andis in the very first year. Even then, I stuck to using it as I couldn't find a better alternative in India. Somehow, I was reluctant in buying a Philips or a Braun, which have always been available.

Anyway, few days back I just checked the range here on Flipkart and I was happy that finally I have some choice. Unfortunately, no one had left any reviews on any of the Wahl products here whereas, Andis had a bunch of positive reviews, which helps making an obvious choice for most of the buyers here. But, I'm little different and most of the times, I don't like to follow the herd. Moreover, as I was an Andis user and not a very satisfied one, I wanted a change and change is what Wahl gave me.

Flipkart has a couple of Wahl clippers on offer, but I particularly liked this one because I liked it's simple classic looks and it felt that it is meant for serious business.

When I received the product, the first thing that caught my eye apart from it's quality packaging was the "MADE IN USA" tag on the box, as well as on the clippers itself. This gave me great confidence in the product, as I got my hands on something that didn't belong to the mediocre Chinese build quality. These days you don't find many products with this tag and it felt great to have something that not only complies to the US standards, but is also manufactured in the US.

This mighty clipper weighs close to half a kilo, which gives you a sense of holding something that is meant for tough men. I did a session of trimming the very same day I received it and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it took me less than 10 minutes to complete the trimming of the entire head, in comparison to the 20 to 25 minutes that my Andis would take. The wide 40mm cutting width removes a big chunk of hair in no time and a powerful motor makes the entire experience a cakewalk.

Another very essential reason that I chose a Wahl over Andis is it's 2 years warranty in comparison to Andis' just 1 year warranty, which clearly states that Wahl has double confidence in their products.

While recommending this product, I'm not ruling out Andis as everyone has their own way of looking at different products, but being someone who has been trimming the hair every week for 5 years straight, I know what a serious user wants from a quality clipper and that's where Wahl wins the race for me.

Its an awesome product, trimming head hair with it seems like a HOT KNIFE going through the Stomach of BUTTER, so smooth , AWESOME PRODUCT.

Got it delivered in WEST DELHI in just 4 days.

This is my 1st TRIMMER and I am glad that I got a best product from FLIPKART.

Lets me see how far I and my TRIMMER go , I wish it stays with me for 3 to 5 years. I will be a huge bargain if that happens.

5. EASE of USE = 5 STARS
6. FUNCTIONALITY = 4 STARS ( it should have been OIL FREE )
7. WARRANTY = 5 STARS ( years warranty )
8. PRICE = 4 STARS ( Rs 2800 a bit more, Rs 2000 would
have been better,if it works fine
for next 3 to 5 years then
Rs 2800 would be compensated.)

Friends keep it oiled to increase the life of blades and don't use it on wet surface.

Bought this after considering every other trimmer on the market. I've had a crap Philips battery powered trimmer that cost about 2K and have used a nice Braun corded/cordless trimmer that cost about 6K. This one beats them both. No contest. Anything with a battery has a DC motor. This has 230V AC motor, powerful and smooth. Cuts like the proverbial hot knife through butter. Build quality is excellent. Made in the USA. It's the kind of thing you could brain someone with, which is always a sign of quality.

Looks like it could last a decade at least. Great value for the price.

I bought this trimmer after a lot of research on WAHL and ANDIS trimmers. Both are good companies with great products but this one takes the cake. Well i don't shave regularly but when my beard grows up long enough this trimmer does the job within a minute. Superb performance. Only thing i didn't like is its upper body cover, which is a plastic sheet and vibrates in a very weird manner with bad sound sometimes.

Rest buy which ever suits you, I really Don't give a SHIT..!!!
