Book: The Wailing Souls The Wailing Souls is a fictional suspense that begins with my early childhood street life; growing up in the Cabrini Green housing projects in Chicago, Illinois, in the late 1950s. Thereafter, the work moves into an intrigue about a mysterious underground organization seeking to overthrow the repercussions of slavery and attain economic parity and reparations. It is a socio/political discourse that offers insight about the notion of working together as a united America and/or the possible consequences of failure to achieve reconciliation in the nation. It is also a love story about two young people seeking to be free from racial inequality by any means necessary, though operating to save the nation from a larger potential disaster from abroad and the real thriller possibilities and subterfuge. For a bit of levity, there is a trip back into time with numerous twists and turns and ominous efforts to lift the nation as a whole.
