The character development is good. We certainly see your young protagonist grow. I do like the way you tell a story - it's like listening to a good storyteller. It's even easy to follow, and you have a nice way with dialogue, I notice the emphasis on certain values - self growth, caring, friendship - and of course there is a love story. Nice job.
