What will happen to my WSR Wallet Balance?

Your WSR Wallet balance can be used to buy products from WS Retail on Flipkart till 30th April, 2016. After the 30th of April it will be transferred to the Flipkart Money section of your Flipkart Wallet and can be used to buy all your favourite products from wide range of sellers on our website or app.


How can I access my WSR Wallet Balance on Flipkart Money*?

To see the WSR Wallet Balance that has been transferred to your Flipkart Money* after 30th April, click here:

Once your WSR credit has been transferred to the Flipkart Money* section of your Flipkart Wallet, you can easily transfer it to your bank account using the Bank Account Number and Branch IFSC Code.

Please note, the maximum amount that can be transferred in a single transaction is of ₹5,000 and the maximum limit is ₹25,000 in a month.

Will my Wallet ever expire?

Individual components under Wallet have different expiry rules.

Like, Gift Cards stored in your Wallet will have their own validity period. Similarly, Flipkart Money* is valid for 24 months from the time of activation or 24 months from the last transaction, whichever is later.

What are the limits, rules and restrictions that govern Flipkart Money*?

Flipkart Money* is governed by the Reserve Bank of India's Prepaid Instrument and Domestic Money Transfer Guidelines.

Simply put,

  •     • At any point of time, the Flipkart Money balance cannot exceed Rs.10,000.

  •     • Any inflow of Flipkart Money through top-ups cannot exceed Rs.10,000 per month.

  •     • Any transfers from Flipkart Money to your bank account are restricted to Rs.5,000 per transaction and Rs.25,000 per month.

How does my WS Retail Credit work?

If you have a WS Retail Credit, then it will be shown in your Wallet automatically.

  •     • WS Retail Credit will not count towards the transaction limits governing Flipkart Money* in your Wallet.

  •     • Your WS Retail Credit cannot be transferred to a bank account.

  •     • It can only be used for purchases from the seller WS Retail on Flipkart.

Can I transfer my WS Retail Credit to another person?

You cannot transfer your WS Retail Credit. As mentioned earlier, you can only use the credit to purchase from a WS Retail seller.

How do I use Wallet to make a payment?

At the time of making a payment, you will be able to view the available balance in your Wallet and you can use it for the transaction. There might be some instances where the complete balance might not be sufficient for the purchase. The reasons for the same will be displayed.


What if my Wallet is not sufficient to make a transaction? Can I partially pay using Wallet?

Yes. You can redeem your Wallet for the purchase, and the remaining amount can be paid using any of the other payment options (For example: Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking). These will be displayed on the same page.

For now, you cannot use Wallet for Cash On Delivery (COD) orders or on orders containing items from multiple sellers.


How does my Wallet get utilised during payment?

Flipkart has deployed an intelligent mechanism where your money is used effectively.

  •     • Gift Cards, which are closer to their expiry date are utilised first.

  •     • WS Retail Credit is redeemed next.

  •     • Flipkart Money* which you have added, or which gets added as a result of refunds, is utilised in the end to provide maximum flexibility.

What happens when I return an item purchased using Wallet?

The money is refunded back to the original payment source.

  •     • If Gift Cards were redeemed in the original transaction, then the same will be refunded to the respective Gift Cards.

  •     • Amount redeemed from WS Retail Credit will be refunded only as WS Retail Credit.

  •     • Similarly, the amount originally redeemed from your Flipkart Money* will be refunded as Flipkart Money

Despite having balance, I am unable to use Wallet as a payment option for some of the purchases. What are the reasons for this?

Wallet might not be usable as a payment option for the following reasons:

  •     • If your Wallet has WSR Credit, then that balance can only be used for purchases from WS Retail seller.

  •     • When an order is placed with items from different sellers, Wallet might not be usable as a payment option. We are working on enabling this functionality soon.

Flipkart Gift Cards


How do I use Gift Cards?

There are two ways of using Gift Cards:

  •     • Click on the "Add to Wallet" button and link the Gift Card to your Wallet. You can maintain the Gift Card, check the balance and redeem it for your purchases on account.

  •     • If you don't want to add Gift Cards to your Wallet, you can simply choose Gift Card as the mode of payment while shopping online. In that case, enter your Gift Card Number and PIN during your purchase.

  •     • Should the transaction amount be greater than the Gift Card balance, you will have to pay through other payment methods like Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking or additional Gift Cards.


Can I use a Flipkart Gift Card even if it is not added to my Wallet?

Yes, you can do so by choosing the Gift Card option on the payment page, and entering the 16-digit Card number and the 4-digit PIN.

You can use up to 15 Gift Cards for a single transaction. However, we recommend that you add all your Flipkart Gift Cards to your Wallet to save the hassle of entering the ID and PIN everytime.


What does "Transfer This Gift Card" do?

This will give you the option of transferring your Gift Card to your friends. You will have to specify the Email ID of the person you want to transfer it to, and they will receive it.

They can add the transferred Gift Card in their Wallet. For them, it will be as good as a new Gift Card. Transfer feature is supported only on the Flipkart Mobile App.

Please note, the expiry date of the Gift Card does not change when you transfer it to someone.


Can I transfer partially used Gift Cards?

Yes, you can transfer your Flipkart Gift Cards at any point of time, as long as they are not expired and have some balance left in them.

The beneficiary will not have any visibility of your transactions from your Wallet. For the recipient, it will be as good as a new Gift Card with a denomination equalling the balance in the Gift Card at the time of the transfer.

Please note, the expiry date of the Gift Card does not change when you transfer it to someone.


Can someone else use my Flipkart Gift Card, if it is already saved in my Wallet?

Gift Cards added to your Wallet cannot be used by someone else. For another person to use a Flipkart Gift Card which has been added to your Wallet, you will have to transfer the Gift Card to his/her Email ID.


What if I transfer my Gift Card to a friend when I am expecting a refund for the same Gift Card?

As per regulations, if a purchase using a Gift Card is returned/cancelled, then the funds are refunded to the original Gift Card. So, if you make a purchase using a Gift Card and transfer the Gift Card to a friend, the claimed refund will be deposited into the original Gift Card number (which is now transferred to your friend).


How do I unlink a Gift Card which is added to Wallet?

If you want to send your Gift Card to someone else, you can transfer it from the Wallet dashboard. If for some reason you still want to unlink, transfer the Gift Card to your own Email ID and the Card ID and PIN will be sent to you.

 

Wallet Terms & Conditions


"Wallet" is a feature associated with Your Account on the Website/ Mobile App of Flipkart Internet Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Flipkart"). Under this feature, You shall be able to (i) store/save Gift Cards ("GCs"); (ii) save credit/debit card details for purchase on the Website/Mobile App, (iii) maintain balance with our registered seller, WS Retail Services Private Limited ("Balance with WSR"); (iv) "FX Mart PPI/ Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart", which is a Semi-Closed Pre-paid Payment Instruments issued by FX Mart Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as "FX Mart"). FX Mart has been authorised by the Reserve Bank of India under Authorisation number: 75/2014 dated August 22, 2014 to issue such Semi-Closed Pre-paid Payment Instruments. For the purpose of these Terms & Conditions, wherever the context so requires "You/Your" or "User" shall mean any natural or legal person who has agreed to open a Wallet by providing the required details while registering on the Website/Mobile App.

To activate Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart compartment in your Wallet, You will be required to follow the below steps;

  •     • In case your Flipkart Account is OTP verified, You will be required to provide certain details and agree to Terms & Conditions of Wallet.

  •     • In case your Flipkart Account is not OTP verified, You will be required to provide certain details, follow the OTP verification process and agree to Terms & Conditions of Wallet.

  •     • OTP verification process:

  •     • Since the User's mobile number is treated as the primary identifier for the User, the mobile number will be verified by sending a one-time password (OTP) to the User's mobile phone via SMS. Only after the User successfully enters the OTP sent to his mobile number and accepts the Terms & Conditions, Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart will be activated.

  •     • The phone number provided will be accepted only if it has not been OTP verified against any other Flipkart account in the last 90 days.

  •     • If the phone number being provided is registered with another Flipkart account but more than 90 days have elapsed from OTP verification, the number will be OTP verified again and linked to the new Flipkart account. The original Flipkart account which was associated with the number will be temporarily blocked pending new number verification

  •     • Please note that activation is available with mobile number of the Indian telecom providers only and Users holding mobile numbers of international telecom providers shall not be eligible for activation.

  •     • "KYC" stands for Know your User and refers to the various norms, rules laws and statutes which may require Us to procure personal identification details from You before any services can be delivered.

  •     • KYC documents may be required from the User at the time of activation of Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart or on a later date, for availing and / or continuation of the Wallet / Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart. Flipkart shall not be responsible for wrong details being entered by the User.

  •     • In the event the beneficiary/KYC details provided are found to be incorrect/ insufficient, Flipkart retains the right to cancel the User's Wallet. Flipkart retains the right to share the details of the transaction undertaken using the Wallet and the end beneficiary/ KYC details with RBI, as per statutory guidelines issued from time to time by RBI.


Gift Cards (GCs) and Saved Debit/Credit Cards

  •     • Wallet permits the User to store and access GCs purchased on Flipkart.com and Debit/ Credit Cards which have been saved by You.

  •     • GCs stored in the Wallet are subject to all Terms and Conditions available at http://www.flipkart.com/buy-gift-voucher?otracker=hp_widget_RHS17 and such other terms as may be amended from time to time subject to statutory regulations.

  •     • GC balance cannot be redeemed against cash or credit and can only be used to purchase product listed on www.flipkart.com.

  •     • Once a GC is added to the Wallet, the PIN Code as originally emailed to the User shall not function and a new PIN shall be generated.

  •     • The GCs in your Wallet may be transferred to another User using the 'Transfer eGift Voucher' option.

  •     • Partially utilized balance in the GCs stored in your Wallet may be transferred to another User. In case a refund is to be issued for a purchase made through an EGV and if the GC has been transferred before the refund is credited, the refunded money will be credited to the User to whom the EGV has been transferred.

  •     • Flipkart shall not be responsible to verify the transferee details submitted by User using the 'Transfer eGift Voucher' option and User shall be solely responsible for the same.

Balance with WSR

  •     • You shall be able to maintain cash balance with WSR and such balance may be used for purchases from WSR only.

  •     • Balance with WSR shall be from refunds from the sellers in case of returns.

  •     • Balance maintained with WSR cannot be transferred or withdrawn.

Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart

  • Loading

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart can be loaded/topped-up through the Website/Mobile App by using instruments such as Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking. Limits as prescribed by the RBI shall be applicable.

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart can also be loaded from refunds that might arise due to cancellations and returns of Your orders. Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart may be displayed as an option on the order return/cancellation screen for all such refunds. Refunds for purchases made through Credit Card/Debit Card shall not be allowed to Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart.

  •     • Flipkart reserves the right to offer Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart as a refund option to the User.

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart held by one User cannot be used to load another User.

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart shall at no time exceed INR 10,000/- through top-ups/loads.

  • Purchases

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart can be used to purchase products and services online from Sellers listed on the Our Website/Mobile App. Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart can also be used to purchase products or services from Flipkart directly. Please note that Flipkart reserves the right to not offer Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart as a payment option.

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart can be redeemed by selecting Wallet as the payment mode at the time of payment for orders.

  •     • If the order value exceeds the available Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart with You, the balance payable amount can be paid by Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking/Gift Card or such other payment options made available on the Website/Mobile App by Flipkart in this regard. Cash on Delivery payment option cannot be used to pay the balance amount.

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart cannot be redeemed for Physical Cash or Credit.

  •     • Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart is one of the payment options available to the Users and Flipkart.com assumes no responsibility for the products purchased using Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart and any liability thereof is expressly disclaimed.

  • Withdrawals

  •     • The User will be allowed to reverse loads/top-ups within 90 days of topping up. In such cases, the top-up amount shall be reversed to the original source.

  •     • The User may also be given, at the sole discretion of Flipkart, an option to withdraw funds into a savings bank account held by the User for top-ups happening via refunds.

  •     • Flipkart reserves the right to allow the user to withdraw particular amounts from Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart. Limits as prescribed by RBI shall be applicable for such withdrawals.

  •     • You understand and agree that Flipkart shall have the right to share User's information with FX Mart and our other corporate entities and affiliates. These entities and affiliates may market to you as a result of such sharing unless you explicitly opt-out.
    We may also disclose personal information to third parties. This disclosure may be required for us to provide you access to our Services, to comply with our legal obligations, to enforce our User Agreement, to facilitate our marketing and advertising activities, or to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities related to our services. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their marketing and advertising purposes without your explicit consent.

  •     • We may disclose Your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process. We may disclose personal information to law enforcement offices, third party rights owners, or others in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms or Privacy Policy of Flipkart.

  •     • All or some of the Wallet transactions might require authentication by the User. This will happen by the verification of the Flipkart Password.

  •     • Flipkart reserves the right, at our at sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms & Conditions at any time and You will be informed of such changes as and when they occur.

  •     • You shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Display Name, Password, PIN, OTP and other authentication details. You shall be responsible for all activities that occur under your Display Name and Password. Flipkart/FX Mart shall not be responsible and will bear no liability in the event of any misuse, loss of confidential details due to the fault of the User.

  •     • There is no fee associated with Wallet as on date but Flipkart reserves the right to change its fee policy from time to time. In particular, Flipkart may at its sole discretion introduce new services and modify some or all of the existing services offered. In such an event, We reserves the right to introduce fees for the new services offered or amend/introduce fees for existing services, as the case may be.

  •     • Balance in Wallet held by One User cannot be transferred to another.

  •     • Please note that Flipkart reserves the right to terminate Your Flipkart Account in case of violation of any policy or Terms of Use or any Flipkart policies or violation of any applicable laws and in such event, any funds in Your Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart compartment shall be credited back to source or Your bank account but funds associated with promotional offers, cash back programs and any other form of credit offered by Flipkart might not be available for withdrawal.

  •     • Wallet can be blocked temporarily if the mobile number associated with Your account has been transferred to another User. The current User will have to provide an

    • alternate number which will be verified by a One Time Password (OTP) in all such cases

  •     • Wallet feature may not be available across all operating systems for Website/Mobile App.

  •     • Your Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart will be valid for 24 months from the time of activation or 24 months from the time of the last transaction whichever is later. Any amount lying in Your Flipkart Money-powered by FX Mart will be forfeited after this period.
